Headache

One third of Americans and Canadians suffer from headaches. Tension headaches are the most common, these headaches can be felt on both sides of the head as a dull, steady pain that often becomes intense at the end of the day. Unfortunately, traditional medicine has little to offer chronic headache sufferers. Pain medicine and muscle relaxants will ease the pain but it is essentially a Band-Aid allowing the headaches to reoccur.  Stress reduction, relaxation and exercise can improve wellness and perhaps prevent the occurrence of the headache.

Furthermore, chiropractic care has been shown to be very proficient at dealing with headaches, both tension and cervicogenic (more to come on this type). A recent study has suggested that chiropractic treatments can decrease the frequency and length of headaches as well as the number of painkillers needed for relief. Therefore, if you are suffering from headaches make sure to book an appointment at Clayton Heights Chiropractic for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.
