When your body isn’t working properly, it sends you signals in the form of aches and pains.

Your brain, spinal cord and all your nerves control how your body works. Stresses (emotional, physical or chemical) produce a defensive posture. When your muscles tighten, they lock spinal joints that pinch or irritate nearby nerves. When your nervous system is compromised, the body is vulnerable to disease, illness and poor health.

Chiropractors locate these vertebral subluxations with a thorough examination. Then, through Chiropractic adjustments, help patients find health as they restore nervous system integrity.

Whether Relief or Wellness Care… we are here for you.

Health is your most valuable resource. Typically, patients come to see us after they’ve lost their health then learn that being proactive with Wellness Care, sets the stage for optimum performance, whether elite athlete or regular person.

1. Relief Care

Relief care is where most patients are introduced to chiropractic care. During this initial stage of intensive care, Dr. Hogan works with the patient to:

  • Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
  • Create a treatment plan that produces the fastest results possible
  • Come up with ways the patient can participate in their recovery
  • Realize the value of post-symptomatic wellness care

2. Wellness Care

We hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic to achieve optimum health. We encourage our patients to take responsibility and action for their health by following a well rounded wellness program rather than waiting for symptoms and then taking action.

What to expect at your visit for Chiropractic treatment at Clayton Heights Chiropractic

When you visit our clinic for chiropractic treatment we follow this general process:

Step 1- History:

On your first visit the doctor will review your health history, with specific focus on your spinal issues. The doctor will ask about areas of your spine that may not be bothering you but this will help to determine the overall health of your spine. On subsequent visits there will be a brief review of what has happened since your last visit so it is important to remember times that you had pain in your neck or back and the positions you were in when the pain occurred. If you have any previous x-rays or MRI’s please bring them to your initial treatment for the doctor to review.

Step 2-Review:

After your health history the doctor will review the key areas of concern and answer any questions you may have about  chiropractic adjustments and how it is done, and why it works.

Step 3-Exam:

The doctor will examine your spinal range of motion and perform key orthopedic tests to identify spinal misalignments.

Step 4:

The Adjustment-After your exam and assessment the doctor will ask again if you have any questions or concerns before proceeding with your adjustment.  Over the first few treatments the doctor will tailor your adjustment to your specific needs to ensure that the adjustment is both comfortable and effective for your condition.

Step 5- Post Adjustment Review:

After your adjustment your doctor will review the key areas of spinal fixation and recommend a treatment plan. This may include home care instructions, stretches, and possibly combining your adjustments with some massage therapy when appropriate.
